ACTIVITIES

01. Empowerment of women through Credit linkage – NABFINS Bangalore:
Empowering women to participate fully in economic life across all sectors is essential to build stronger economies, achieve internationally agreed goals for development and sustainability, and improve the quality of life for women, men, families and communities. To fulfill the above goal, we partner with NABFINS – BANGALORE to avail credit facilities for women self-help groups in rural and urban areas in our project area. In this financial year, we have linked hundred self-help groups with NABFINS. The total amount of loan given for SHGs is Rs. 4, 31, 95,000/- for various purposes to uplift the women. Repayment also satisfactory and we repaid Rs.5, 07, 08,925/- to NABFINS.

02. Empowerment of Differently abled persons – TNSRLM:
To empower differently abled community we did minimum. The following table shows the minimum activities through TNSRLM program.(Maintenance grant only)

Multi Rehabilitation Training for CDFs:
To equip our Community Development Facilitators for effective service, Tamil Nadu Government generously came forward to conduct 15 days MRT training for our CDFs. By this training CDFs can do marvelous for differently abled community in rural areas. During the training we called experts from different field SSA-IED, CMC Vellore,PVP and Legal personalities. We had two field visits to WORTH SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN WITH SPEECH & HEARING IMPAIRMENT AND AMALARAKKINI SCHOOL FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED.

03. Conquer death – TB awareness program:
Collaboration with REACH TRUST – AXSHYA PROJECT, we are conducting awareness program on Tuberculosis control in rural villages by conducting IOA – House to house survey and Gk for small groups. We are transporting sputum to Government Lab – Arni Government Hospital. During our intervention, we found one positive case in Vadugasathu village. We recommend Mrs.Deivanai to go to Government Hospital for further treatment. Our field staff have regular visit

04. Pillar – Children Program:
We are conducting three evening study centres in rural villages – 12 Puthur 2. Sirumur and Pungampadi. Each centre we 20 to 25 school going children. Qualified staff takes regular class for the children.

05. 1% Rome fund IGP – PungampadiIrula community:
With generous support of 1% Rome – Italy, we provided Rs.7500/- for 15 women for goat rearing and petty income generation activities.

Conclusion:
By the grace of God the Almighty we have done very little to women, differently abled and vulnerable in the society. We thankful to donors, well-wishers, Government officials. We have to walk very long in the field of rehabilitation.
